How to use it

In the 100 envelope challenge, you number 100 envelopes from $1 to $100, pick one at random (many people do one a day), put that amount in and cross it off. Filling all 100 adds up to $5,050, because 1 + 2 + ... + 100 = 100 x 101 / 2. This chart puts all 100 amounts on one page, so you can track the challenge with real envelopes or with no envelopes at all.

If the full total is more than you want to aim for, two smaller versions use the same chart: halve every amount for a total of $2,525, or only use the $1 to $50 boxes for a total of $1,275. At one box a day, the full challenge takes 100 days. Some people put cash in envelopes, and others move each amount to a savings account and just cross the box off here.

Printing tips

Goes well with: 52-week savings challenge, savings goal tracker, 30-day no-spend challenge.
