How to use it
Hosting Thanksgiving goes smoother with the whole menu on one sheet. This planner has sections for appetizers, main dish, sides, rolls and bread, desserts and drinks, with space to note who is bringing each dish and whether it can be made ahead. A timeline line at the bottom tracks when the turkey goes in, comes out and when dinner is served.
Plan on about 1 to 1.5 pounds of whole turkey per guest. A rough roasting guide is 13 to 15 minutes per pound at 325 F for an unstuffed bird, and the turkey should rest 30 minutes before carving, which frees the oven for sides. Assign potluck dishes early and write them down so you do not end up with three green bean casseroles.
Printing tips
- Make-ahead dishes like pies and cranberry sauce can be done 1-2 days early.
- Always confirm doneness with a thermometer: 165 F in the thickest part.
- Print one for the fridge and text a photo to guests.
- Print at 100% or "Actual size" on US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 in). If you are in a country that uses A4, choose "Fit to page" so nothing gets cut off at the edges.
