Clean blank invoice for freelancers and small businesses: line items, tax and total.

Download (free)
How to use it
This blank invoice works for freelancers, babysitters, handymen, tutors and small businesses that need a professional-looking bill without software. It has space for your details and the client's, an invoice number, date and due date, 14 line items with quantity, rate and amount, and subtotal, tax and total fields.
Number your invoices in order (for example 2027-001, 2027-002) so they are easy to track at tax time. Describe each line item specifically, such as "Lawn mowing, 1/2 acre, Oct 3", which reduces questions and speeds up payment. In the notes area, list how you accept payment and when it is due, such as "Net 15". Keep a copy of every invoice you send.
Printing tips
- Fill it in by hand and scan it, or print and photograph it, to send by email.
- Keep a simple log of invoice numbers and paid dates.
- Check your local rules on whether you must charge sales tax.
- Print at 100% or "Actual size" on US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 in). If you are in a country that uses A4, choose "Fit to page" so nothing gets cut off at the edges.
